Actronix is a manufacturer and provider of cables to a number of specialized industries. Avicon Partners focused on Supply Chain Management with Actronix and in a matter of 6 months improved inventory turns by 41 percent. Avicon Partners worked with the Actronix suppliers to develop VMI programs as well as working with the Procurement Team to develop Supply Chain Management techniques that shifted inventory from a liability to an asset. This work freed up cash by reversing a negative trend and inventory buildup over 4 years. This work has not only redeuce inventory it has also improved responsivemenss to customers.

Caliber Logistics
Caliber was the third party logistics arm of Federal Express and has changed its name to FDX Supply Chain Services. Avicon provided a strategic technology assessment of their information backbone. Avicon also helped Caliber in their selection of EAI technology and their identification of a suitable pilot test case for the solution.
Cisco Systems
Cisco is the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet. As companies extend their trading partner communities, defining the right mix of owned versus outsourced is the question of the day. EMC is a world leader in information storage systems, software, networks and services. Avicon was engaged in an EDI integration project for EMC. This has lead to discussions on several other projects including a web portal to support critical physical user-groups and on-line collection of marketing data from existing customers.
Empire Beef
Empire Beef is a distributor of prime cuts of beef, lamb, poultry, and seafood to fine restaurants and institutions in the northeast US. Because Empire was seeking additional financial backing to restructure and streamline their operations their bank requested that external financial and supply chain experts get involved. Hewlett-Packard Company
This project was for Hewlett Packard's Laser Printer Copier Division. Avicon helped this key division of HP to convert their manufacturing process from a build-to-forecast to a build-to-order model. Kuehne & Nagel (KN) is one of the leading logistics companies worldwide with particularly strong market positions in the ocean and airfreight businesses. KN has a strong focus on contract logistics and providing IT-based Supply Chain Management services. KN recently won the highly competitive bid to outsource all of Nortel's global outbound logistics. They formed KN Lead Logistics (KNLL) to implement this 4PL solution for Nortel and others. Nektar Therapeutics
Nektar Therpeutics develops and manufacturers inhalable pharmiceuticals. Avicon Partners worked with Nektar to analyze the needs of their Supply Chain organization. Subsequently Avicon Partners provided interim leadership by providing a temporary Vice Presicent of Materials and worked with Nektar to locate and vet a new Vice President of Materials. Solectron Corporation
Solectron is the world's leading provider of electronics manufacturing and supply chain management services. Solectron engaged Avicon to develop a blueprint for Solectron's new corporate vision in the rapidly converging areas of contract manufacturing and supply chain logistics. Tirecraft Group Inc (TGI) now consists of the largest tire distributor in Canada (Remington), a large chain of tire dealers (Tirecraft Auto), a chain of commercial tire dealers (Tirecraft Commercial), and a leading tire retreader (Canadian Treads). Avicon is helping TGI strategically integrate these companies as well as streamline their operations to increase profits, reduce inventories, and improve customer service.
United Technologies Corporation
UTC is a conglomerate which manufacturers aircraft engines, heating and air conditioning systems, elevators and escalators, aerospace and industrial systems, helicopters and fuel cells. Avicon developed a custom Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP) for UTC's Pratt and Whitney aftermarket jet engine repair division.
